Which CRPG game (including sexy one) do you think deserves the title 'Best CRPG ever'? Please state why.
Don't bother about sound or graphics here, they are constantly changing while we are talking about an everlasting quality.

Daggerfall - Because of the never ending amount of quests and places to go.
P.S. When I say Daggerfall I mean both Daggerfall & Arena The Elder Scrolls.

CRPG is Computer Role Playing Game (if I am not mistaken), the RPG that is played on Computer (PC), not on PS, not on Amiga, not on nintendo, not on other machine.
Why it's must be differentiated? Well, it seems that the best RPG on PC commonly has something RPG gamers call 'depth'.
Are you a RPG fans? If yes, you will understand what I said.

I would say Planescape : Torment. This game has a great atmosphere, great characters, and your possible actions on the game really depend on the way you have defined your character at the beginning. The game is not combat-oriented but more story oriented, the story and dialogues are really well written. I love this game :D

I'd have to say either Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos or Ultima Underworld 2: Labrynth of Worlds
Final Fantasy VIII kicks ass.
Realms of Arkania / Das Schwarze Auge,
The details, complexcities and realism so far has never been paraleled.
I've got to go with the Elder Scrolls ( daggerfall and Arena)
Great game depth, puzzles. tight situations and areas to explore. It's big and wonderful. Great gameplay and battles!:D
