Bonjour à tous et à toutes,

Je recherche une adresse de site qui contiendrait la solution complète de deux jeux abandonwares intitulés :"Meurtre à grande vitesse" et "Meurtres en série".Pouvez-vous,s'il vous plaît,m'en indiquer?Parce que je suis bloqué sur les deux en ce moment et je ne peux plus y jouer vu que je ne peux plus avancer dans l'histoire.Merci d'avance,à très vite,j'espère.Je reste dans les parages à l'affût de vos réponses.

Le premier je ne connais pas, mais ayant passé d'innombrables heures sur le second, pour moi il n'y a pas de solution.
Il faut répondre correctement au questionnaire de fin pour "gagner".
Je n'ai jamais eu toutes les réponses. Au mieux moins de la moitié si ma mémoire est bonne.
Il y a bien le site du créateur mais il ne l'a jamais mis à jour par rapport à ça.

Well, actually I think I have completed both games, but...

In 'Meurtre a Grande Vitesse' there is no test (like in later games in the series) to check if you have solved the murder. Still, I found such a test as a contest run by Bertrand Brocard and 'Theoric' magazine in March-May 1985. Sadly, the results were never published! Probably nobody solved that game...
I have written my questions and ideas on the Oric forum, as this game was not released for PC unfortunately. I have played all the five versions available - Oric1/Atmos, EXL100, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and Thomson TO7/70 (I have the last one in my collection).

As for 'Meurtres en Serie' - I have actually found the solution to it. And it works in Amstrad version: I get the treasure and sail away.
Strangely enough, it does not work in PC version: after I get the treasure, the boat seems to go missing, so I can't leave the island on time... Is it a bug, or do I have to do something different? As you can never ever visit all the locations in one day, you know.

I hope somebody did play and complete those two unusual games! As they are French only, and it is even more difficult to play when you do not understand much of the dialogues...

There is an error in it: the Minitel number is 16/36139155, not 16/361339155.

The CPC version is written in BASIC. You can easily see the whole code of the file "magv.2" by typing load"magv.2" , then list.

Maybe a good way to find some clues in the code itself and the structure of the game.

Yes, I already have "Meurtre à grande vitesse" in BAS listing.
But it is of not much use because that's an unusual game. You 'solve' it in your mind, not on the computer

It i quite easy to gather all the testimonies and to find all the items (and that's what you can get from the code file). The listing would not show how to solve the riddles - but it is not difficult either. And of course no code will tell you how to interprete those clues - it should be either discussed by those people who have played this game, or declared by the author.

And as for "Meurtres en série" - I have already completed Amstrad CPC, IBM PC and Thomson versions, and now I am almost sure it is a bug in PC version...
After I get the treasure, the main wharf stops working for some reason (no option to take a boat) - however I was able to escape by moving the boat to the other warf and then taking the treasure
Still, the test program is bugged as well: I can't enter answers for questions 5 and 20 as the program does not accept moving to the next line for some reason.

It seems that ABF does not state the sourse of the PC version available. Is it cracked? Could it be a bug of the crack? Or the original one? As everything works fine in Amstrad and Thomsion versions.
I am also going to play the Oric version - it is unofficial one released in 2003 by Dominique Pessan, but luckily he has translated it into English as well!

In fact, he used to write me several years ago, but now he does not answer my questions for many months unfortunately.
