tien voici le readme qui est sur le cd.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Full Voice Talkie
Indy Talkie is a game that takes full advantage of your CD-ROM by
presenting the entire game with full speech and sound effects. A
Sound Blaster or 100% SoundBlaster compatible is required to enjoy
these features of the game. If you do not have a SoundBlaster or
100% compatible sound card, we recommend that you purchase one in
order to fully enjoy the benefits of voice and digital sound effects
in this game. The game also requires MSCDEX CD-ROM extensions 2.1
or later and either 550K free memory or EMS drivers loaded. The
game will run fine on a 16mhz 386, and will run with some slowdown
on 12mhz 286's. If you find that you are short of memory, you may
want to run MEMMAKER if you are running DOS 6.0. If you have
DOS 5.0, you may want to run both EMM386 and HIMEM and load as many
TSR's and drivers into high memory as possible.
TROUBLESHOOTING
This section will provide you with some solutions to gamers' most
common technical problems. If you are having difficulty getting
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis up and running, please refer
to this section before contacting technical support. Chances are
it will help you out.
Memory Concerns:
This game requires at least 550K free base RAM in order to run. It
will also recognize up to 2 megs. of EMS RAM, but does not require
it. If you are using DOS 5.0, you may utilize its ability to load
certain RAM resident programs "high" to free up base memory. Refer
to your Microsoft documentation for further information. You may
also make a boot disk with DOS 5.0 that will set up the optimal
configuration for running this game.
DOS 6.0 includes a memory management utility called MEMMAKER. It
will assist you in freeing up as much RAM as possible. Consult
your Microsoft documentation for further information and
instructions.
Sound Cards:
If your game starts and Indy doesn't speak, but text is displayed,
either you don't have a SoundBlaster compatible card, or your PORT
or IRQ on your Soundblaster compatible card are not set correctly.
If you do have a compatible card, you should still be able to hear
music. If not, check your volume level and your speaker connections
first. If all of the connections are fine, but you still can't hear
voice, you may need to tell the game more about your sound
configuration.
A majority of all sound problems encountered in a game have to do
with hardware communications. This means that either 1) your game
thinks your hardware is configured in some way other than it really
is, or 2) your sound card itself is depending on either a PORT, an
IRQ number, or a DMA channel which is being used by something else
in your system. Unfortunately, hardware configuration problems are
not always obvious. Your game may appear to play music and sound
effects just fine, and then, at some unexpected moment, the sound
may stop, or the game may "lock up." This is often not the fault
of the game, but a hardware conflict that didn't occur until the
game used the hardware in a particular way. Finally -- and this is
extremely important -- just because Game A works with your
configuration and Game B doesn't, does not necessarily mean the
problem is in Game B. It may be that Game B uses capabilites of the
hardware that Game A doesn't, and is therefore more likely to run
into problems with the hardware configuration.
If you don't know how to resolve a sound card problem, first consult
the documentation provided with your sound card. Often sound card
manufacturers provide diagnostic programs with their cards.
If you are still encountering difficulties, see the Technical Support
section below.
LUCASARTS DEMOS OF UPCOMING PRODUCTS
On your CD-ROM, we have included several LucasArts demos of upcoming
products. These demos are "Sneak Previews" of our new products and
are non-interactive. To launch any of the demos, simply select which
one you would like to view from the menu and hit return. To end the
demo, press CTRL-C. You will be returned to the DOS prompt at this
point. To play the game or select another demo, you will need to
type ATLANTIS again at the CDROM drive prompt (in the root directory).
This will return you to the main menu.
