    Rare German Game

I downloaded a game from Lost Treasures France a long time ago, maybe 2002 or 2003, and I don't remenber it's name anymore.

It's a german first person action-adventure, with graphics very similar to Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall. On the menu there was an animation much like the Screensaver Labyrinth3D, but it was a museum with paintings and dinossaur bones. There's a beautiful music singed by a man and a women, with no instruments, only voices.

The intro scene was like this (in first person view): There are some footsteps sounds, the man open a door, the music plays and then he walks through a museum looking the paintings, the bones, there is even a small aquarium, aqnd in the end he sits on a wooden chair. The walls of this museum are dark red.

I'm trying to find this game for years, just to listen the beautiful music from the intro. Please help-me

Maybe it's Museum Madness but it's not german. Is it an educational game?

Thanks for the reply, but it is not Museum Madness. The game has a cool name with one word only, like "Hexen" for exemple. The only language is german, I got from the RPG section a long time ago.

The first stage was a garden with a maze made of bushes, there was some snakes and I had to kill them using a scythe.

It would help if you could remind the developping company name. It must be one of these ones

Do you have any idea about the year this game was released ?

Maybe you should give a try on Mobygames, to see if perchance you could find it.

Thanks for the link, but that's the problem: it's an independant game. As far as I remeber the creator's name start with "j", maybe Joshua, Josper, something like that.

It's a very difficult game to find. I asked on some abandonware foruns and no one seens to know

Woaaah and it's an independant game??? Good luck in your researches then
Seriously, can you give an approximate age for your game? Is it older than 15? 20?

An independent game will be really hard to find. Especially without the date of edition. Maybe check on Mobygames by looking on some sort of compilations

Well the best clue you gave us is that you downloaded your game from LTF . Maybe admins would know?

And I presume that the game isn't on LTF anymore?

Maybe it's still on it... I haven't thought about looking there
Check here if you see your game. Maybe Hexx? But it's not german at all...

I am not sure there ever was a german-only game on the site. Maybe at the very beginning.
Without more information about date, the best you can do is browse in the list of games by genre ("jeu de rôle") and compare the screenshots if they match with your memories.

Well, I already serched for days on LTF and Moby, but I couldn't find it there. My only hope is to find someone who has played the game.

The graphics are from 94-95, but I'm almost sure the game was released in 99-01. It's german only, the autor said he wouldn't translate the game to english.

I draw a picture of the first stage.

Using Wayback Machine web site, you can see the RPG section of LTF like it was in december 2003. Maybe, you'll find your game :

As the mist clears, the eerie image of a forest forms in front of you. To the east, a vast plain extends towards the horizon. Westward howewer, in the thick of the forest, a thousand pairs of eyes pierce the mist, glaring despondently back at you.
