    Sox :

Voici la réponse de Stefan Müller :

"I didn’t do anything special about the VOC files.

I simply converted the .WAV files to .VOC files with the tool “sox” using the correct parameters. Example:
    sox NEWCALL2.wav -b 8 -r 11025 NEWCALL2.voc

The “-b 8” means 8 bit, the “-r 11025” means frequency 11025 and the output file has to end on “.voc” so that “sox” creates the output file in the .VOC format.

I quickly saved the first 43 seconds of extracted audio track 80 of the French CDi disc to a single .WAV file since this contains the “NEWCALL2” audio which is played at the beginning of the game after the first video. Then I converted the .WAV to .VOC with the command line I mentioned above.

When I start the game using the recent ScummVM version 2.9.0 this converted .VOC file is played without any problems. I have attached the file so that you can try it out yourself.

Do all .VOC files you converted crash ScummVM or only certain ones?
    "

    Bonjour Hrvg

Voici la réponse de Stefan Müller :

    "Hi Threepwang,

I also didn’t find audio tracks at the German CDi disc for the five .VOC files you mentioned and these files are also not used by the ScummVM code for the English game. So I think they aren’t used. I still left the English file versions in the folder. Just in case the DOS executable checks if the files exist at some point.

I did find audio tracks for the three .RL2 files you listed at the German CDi disc. I didn’t do anything special. I simply opened the .ISO file of the German CDi disc in jPSX.dec, selected all found audio tracks and used the “Save All Selected” button. Then it was just about finding out which track belongs to which .RL2 or .VOC file. Some tracks contains the audio of more than one .VOC file. I probably used Audacity to separate the audio parts.

I’ve attached the disc extraction log and the lists I made about which track belongs to which .RL2 or .VOC file (including timestamps if a track contains more than one .VOC file).
But this is of course for the German CDi disc and the track order might be different for the French CDi disc.

I did this almost 8 years ago and simply don’t remember everything I did.

    Best whishes,
