    Bonsoir,

    JappaWakka,
    Bienvenue dans le monde d'ATP...
    Welcome in world of ATP...

Pour les Francophones, il serait bon d'écrire aussi en français, car tous nos visiteurs ne lisent pas l'anglais.

I can translate directly every file STR but impossible to check the timing from every line.
I don't have access to the game's resources.

      I come back later.

The audio files are also in the same folder as I linked. With software like SubtitleEdit (which is what I use) you can load in audio files and check the timing of the SRT files. Then when I open the SRT files in a text editor, I can copy the timestamps over to the script file so the game knows when to display them. I saw someone translated the intro duakigu

When you receive an error message, do not resend the message, otherwise it will be doubled or more.

                If there are several translators:

                1) You are right, you need to make a list of all the names or other elements that must be consistent throughout the translation.
                2) You will need someone to harmonize the texts from the different translators.

I could compile a spreadsheet of all the item and location names? I'd like you guys' opinion on NPC names (excluding titles, types or species). Should they stay the same? Like if I translate Lothar the Innkeeper, should Lothar stay the same while "the innkeeper" can be translated? Or should localized names be allowed? In dutch I kept certain English parts of locations as well, e.g. Skotness River became Skotness-rivier, but what do you guys think? I do want the currency to be called rubies or the French equivalent of that because I like to keep the quirk in CD-i Zelda games that they're not called rupees. I did correct the misspelled Gannon to Ganon (because I found a beta/unused image of the scroll of shurmak where Ganon was spelled correctly and decided to use that in the intro cutscene). Come to think of it, I wonder if we should also find a way to translate the names on the various signs in the overworld. That might be slightly more difficult because I'd have to remove the text and find a similar font but it might be possible.

                    First step:
                    1)
                    Cutscene_Intro_en.srt 1.03 Ko
                    https://1fichier.com/?2x0xx5zifbdu3s2i4p99
                    2)
                    Cutscene_Intro_fr.srt 1.16 Ko
                    https://1fichier.com/?qvte98iqouc3p0faaski

Like, I think some lines in French are bigger than English's line.
With the file "Cutscene_Intro.wav", your "Cutscene_Intro_en.srt"
work perfectly BUT my file "Cutscene_Intro_fr.srt" doesn't work snif.
                    Do I miss something??

Feel free to change the timing or to split sentences differently as you see fit and of course notify me if you did (SubtitleEdit is great for that). I can add lines or change the timing in the code. I'll check out your file Ulyssom. Also don't worry about line breaks. The game adds those automatically.

I just checked your file Ulyssom, and it seems to be working fine! Apart from some unnecessary spaces before a : or a !, some words at the start of a sentence not starting with an uppercase letter, and some lines having 2 line breaks instead of 1 (max 2 lines per subtitle), nothing seemed wrong with it.

I will not translate this game because I have other translations at the moment...
But you are right, the translators must agree on the names of cities, objects, characters, etc...
And there is also the formal or informal (vous or tu)... There is also feminine/masculine, plural/singular or others...

(Je ne traduirai pas ce jeu car j'ai d'autres traductions en ce moment...
Mais tu as raison, les traducteurs doivent s'accorder sur les noms de villes, objets, personnages, etc...
Et il y aussi le vouvoiement ou le tutoiement (vous ou tu)... Il y a aussi le féminin/masculin, pluriel/singulier ou autres...)

I've been working this evening on a spreadsheet containing noteworthy names and stuff: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
So far I've compiled all the item names (including cut content ones, which I may or may not use in some way) and a lot of locations. Let me know if I'm missing anything.

                              Hi Jappa.

Before discussing the constraints of certain games, it's worth talking about the constraints faced by translators.
We all have translations in progress. We also have physical constraints. Like Threepwang, he has eye problems.
So he needs to rest often. I (Régis - Ulyssom) have had Parkinson's disease for three years. I get tired very quickly.
Plus other very distressing symptoms. I live one day at a time.

I opened my SRT file corrected by you with Subtitle Edit 4.0.14. This application cannot open WAV files?
As shown in the image, line 6 is in red, too long? Or something else? See my picture to understand:

But what I need is the list of all SRT files + WAV files to work more efficiently. And the full game, not a demo.
