I noticed that I'm missing some SRT files for people in the mobilin's head inn (plain of andor). I'll probably have to recreate those. Threepwang I have all the sprites I need. I already have all the map sprites, though I have to make the foreground and collision sprites myself (the original sprites were inaccurate and bad). Someone on discord dumped pretty much all of the sprites in the game for me, including palette cycle animations, so don't worry about the game development part.

Ok, I understand about the SRT. Anyway, the translation follows the development of the port, so no worries. Even little by little, the essential thing is to do things well.

I downloaded The Apprentice by Shikotei a long time ago, but I never managed to find the right disk image to launch the game. It's a shame, it's a good platform game.

Oooooh I know why Dialog_PlainOfAndor_MobilinsHeadInn_LotharTheInnKeeper_AfterBuy.ogg has no matching SRT: The text is the same as Dialog_PlainOfAndor_MobilinsHeadInn_LotharTheInnKeeperBeforeBuy.ogg except it doesn't have the line about the calm spell. Mystery solved!

Ulyssom J’ai une question. Lorsque nous traduirons les dialogues, allons-nous mettre des majuscules accentuées ou pas ? Personnellement, je n’ai pas l’habitude d’en mettre, mais les jeux Sierra ne le permettent pas, alors je voudrais savoir ce que tu en penses ? Par exemple, tu écrirais "À propos" ou "A propos" ?

I've been using accented characters in the dutch subtitle translations too because that's just the way words are written. I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea to use accented characters.

Yes, accents are essential in French. My question concerns only capital letters at the beginning of sentences. Both are possible in French. It's to know what Ulyssom thinks, because we need to harmonise our work.

I found a transcription of the script: Zelda's Adventure Transcription It's practical because it gives a precise idea of the amount of text to translate. Moreover, there is a timeline. There is even a translate option to get a preview in French. A little extra for Ulyssom and me

The transcript that's publicly available is not always correct. Like for example the transcript has the ogham merchant transcribed as giving autumn herbs instead of ogham herbs.

Ok j'ai fait plusieurs essais. Conclusion : les accents sont sur les majuscules,
sauf le C cédille majuscule (Ç), mais plus la faute de mon clavier et de Windows 11.
Mais il y a toujours des trucs pour avoir ce fameux C cédille majuscule. Les voici :

1) Sur Windows : Maintenez la touche Alt enfoncée et tapez 0199 sur le pavé numérique.
2) Sur Mac : Appuyez sur Option + C pour obtenir le Ç majuscule.
3) Clavier AZERTY : Appuyez sur Shift + C pour obtenir le Ç.
4) Copier-coller : Vous pouvez également copier le caractère directement depuis un tableau interactif.

Okay, I've tried several times. Conclusion: accents are on capital letters,
except for the capital C with cedilla (Ç), but that's not the fault of my keyboard or Windows 11.
But there are still ways to get that famous capital C with cedilla. Here they are:

1) On Windows: Hold down the Alt key and type 0199 on the numeric keypad.
2) On Mac: Press Option + C to get the uppercase Ç.

4) Copy and paste: You can also copy the character directly from an interactive table.

Ulyssom Ok je télécharge Subtitle Edit v 4.0.14 (Fr) je pense que cette version est la même que tu indiques ? J'ai déjà Notepad++, donc c'est bon et le dossier Zelda est en place avec les sous-répertoires comme indiqué par toi.

Editing the subtitles with SubtitleEdit gives you easier control over the timing than notepad++ imo but feel free to do what works best for you guys Threepwang version 4.0.14 is the latest version yes.

L'application Notepad++ va avant tout mettre la version anglaise de chaque champ
du fichier SRT + 2 versions traduites de ce champ grâce à Deepl (Pro pour moi)
et de l'excellent Quillbot. C'est juste pour comparer et prendre la meilleure
traduction avec les consignes suivantes : la plus courte et la meilleure !

The Notepad++ application will first put the English version of each field
from the SRT file + 2 translated versions of that field using Deepl (Pro for me)
and the excellent Quillbot. This is just to compare and choose the best
translation with the following guidelines: the shortest and the best!
