That's completely understandable. I don't want anyone to feel rushed or pushed to do anything. I have autism, ADHD and a complex tic disorder (practically the same as Tourette's syndrome) so I also need to make sure I don't overwork myself until I crash down. There's no rush on translating anything as the game is far from being finished anyways. Take your time, your well-being is very important.

I opened my SRT file corrected by you with Subtitle Edit 4.0.14. This application cannot open WAV files?
As shown in the image, line 6 is in red, too long? Or something else? See my picture to understand:

You gotta drag the wav to the time bar at the bottom for it to register. Yes it says that subtitle 6 has too many characters on a line, though that is based on guidelines for normal subtitles for movies. It's probably fine, but if you're worried about it you can split the subtitle into two subtitles so there are less characters.

Ok, using Subtitle Edit. I try the WAV file (Cutscene_Intro.wav—21.3 MB): it works perfectly.
And I try with the video file (Cutscene_Logos.webm—21.3 MB): it works perfectly.

Yeah you can use either wav or webm for reference. The webm just includes the video as well if you use the webm, the waveforms for the audio might not show up immediately. Clicking on the time bar once will fix that. Most of the dialogue is in ogg format. The audio for the cutscenes is wav because adobe after effects which I use to edit them doesn't support ogg.

I have a question. How do you make the accents visible in the game? Does the font allow it?

Gaspra is an astronomer from the province of Tolemac. This character only exists in Zelda's Adventure. As Hrvg says, you really have to think about each person who addresses Zelda and vise versa, whether we use formal or informal language! It's really important, I think.

For example, Gaspra is an old man and an astronomer, while Zelda is a young princess. It is not illogical that the two address each other formally out of respect for the astronomer's age and due to the princess's rank, even if she is young. What do you think?

If you agree, I would like to take care of the Excel file that JappaWakka uploaded to find the French equivalents. I'm going to do some targeted research in this regard. Gaspra est un astronome de la province de Tolemac. Ce personnage n’existe que dans Zelda’s Adventure. Comme le dit Hrvg, il faut bien réfléchir à chaque personne qui s’adresse à Zelda et inversement, si nous utilisons le vouvoiement ou le tutoiement ! C’est vraiment important, je pense.

Par exemple, Gaspra est un vieil homme et un astronome, tandis que Zelda est une jeune princesse. Il n’est pas illogique que les deux se vouvoient par respect pour l’âge de l’astronome et en raison du rang de la princesse, même si elle est jeune. Qu’en penses-tu ?

Si tu es d’accord, j’aimerais m’occuper du fichier Excel qu’a mis en ligne JappaWakka pour trouver les équivalences en français. Je vais faire une recherche pointue en ce sens. J’aurai terminé aujourd’hui et je le reuploade pour toi et JappaWakka. Ensuite, je regarderai les fichiers SRT. Nous avons besoin que tous ces mots soient fixés pour traduire les dialogues.

Okay I've written down some things, let me know what you think:

• The tickets are called Ticket 1 and Ticket 2 in the game code, to differentiate the two nameless tickets. The first one gives access to the Red Knight in the Shrine of Strength, the second ticket gives access to the Blue and Green Knights. Should they maybe be called something else?
• What's the difference between Dague (the knife treasure) and Poignard (the dagger spell)? Are they different types of knives? If so, I suppose that's okay.
• What's the difference in meaning between Anneaux de feu and Anneaux du Feu? If I recall correctly, Rings of Fire shoots fireballs in 4 directions around Zelda, which is vaguely a ring.
• Regarding the hammer/broadsword etcetera, the words "spell" and "weapon" are used interchangeably in the game. I personally think that because Zelda is wielding a wand, she's conjuring these objects with it.
• I'd go with Ruban rouge because you can knot a ribbon into a bow tie but it's still a ribbon.
• Regarding the golden boots, it's not a name, they're just golden boots, just like there are red boots. Not sure which translation is the one that's not a name.
• I assume Alligator Shoes are shoes made from Alligaroo (bipedal alligator enemy) skin. Could it be a good idea to change the name of this item to Alligaroo Shoes? I'm not sure if I'll use them though, so it might not be important.
• I translated Noise to Geluid, because the NPC that gives it to you mentions it making "a noise". I also have trouble find a Dutch word for sound that starts with an N other than "nagalm" which means reverberation. Would that be better?
